COHEN CREATIVE COPY

Wondering what it's like to work together?
I have a well-defined process, setting clear expectations at each stage of the writing journey. Here is what you can expect from our initial meeting to the delivery of your final draft.

1. Discovery call
The discovery call is an opportunity for us to get acquainted and meet virtually. You'll learn more about my services, and I'll ask you where you are in your business and your goals. We can discuss a project you have in mind or I can make recommendations that support your goals.
2. Proposal
After I learn more about your copywriting needs, I'll email you a proposal within 48 hours detailing the terms of the project, including the scope, the deposit, delivery date, and revision process.
3. Agreement & deposit
If you accept my proposal, I'll email you an agreement we'll both sign, and you'll make a 50% deposit before I start working. The other half is will be due after delivery of the first the draft.
4. Questionnaire and strategy call
4. Questionnaire
With the paperwork out of the way, I'll send you an in-depth questionnaire to understand more about your business and your ideal clients. Then we'll schedule a strategy call to review your responses and fill in any gaps. From these insights, we'll create a strategy to differentiate your business.
5. Research and writing
Research is the first step in the writing process and varies by project, from interviewing your clients to understand their perspective, to gathering expert insight for articles and collecting images and files for case studies and project descriptions for your website and email marketing.

When the research is complete, I begin crafting your strategic and compelling copy!

6. Delivery of first draft
You'll receive the first draft of your copy according to the timeline we agreed to. The balance is due with the delivery of the first draft before I begin edits.
7. Edits
After you review your copy and need revisions, I'll make your requested edits. My turnaround time varies by the length of the project. I prefer working in GoogleDocs, which has an easy approach to sharing comments. However, we can make other arrangements if you're more comfortable with another method for communication for edits.
8. Ready to publish!
After revisions are made and your copy is ready for you to publish, or send to your web designer for the final touches. For simple projects such as blogs, I can supply and place royalty-free images in your content management system.
